In ancient times the Mayan Women and Nobles used to wear very elaborate hairstyles and these would include hair ornaments made out of different materials such as feathers, fibers and leather. Mayan women today still use very elaborate woven headdresses (called Tocoyales or Cintas), these include pompons, colorful yarns as well as some glass beads.
This collection has been inspired by this millennial tradition. Our artisans gathered inspiration form nature, the traditional dresses, and used different techniques to create each piece.
