Mission
To create opportunities for Indigenous peoples of Canada and the Americas to bridge the gap between local artisans and global markets and to contribute to their economic sustainability, while honoring cultural traditions and empowering one artisan at a time.
Vision
We envision a world without economic injustice, committed to upholding the dignity of Indigenous artisans by celebrating their traditional artistry as a step toward economic and social independence.
About us
Artisanelle is a social enterprise of artisan workmanship of Indigenous peoples of Canada and the Americas. Artisanelle empowers Indigenous women artisans so they can live with dignity, support their families and build thriving communities. We keep traditions alive while celebrating our shared values and history.
We are committed to advancing Indigenous women of the America’s economic autonomy by supporting dignified income opportunities. We ethically purchase handmade goods -by means of Fair Trade- and represent our artisans globally through our online store. We celebrate the uniqueness of our handmade goods and the makers behind them.
Sustainable development practices grow financial stability, inciting social change. We believe there is transformative power in every purchase we make, hence in every of your purchases as well.
